As someone who takes a keen interest in telecommunications of all kinds, that's a statement I hear all too often these days. Have phone number, need name. So why is this such a frequent request? Well, let's look at the facts. In the modern age, a phone is pretty much an absolute necessity to most people in the developed world, especially young people. Who ever goes out without their phone? This dependency can cause problems too, though. Whenever there's a technology which a lot of people use, then there will be a minority who abuse it.
